It would look passable with more uniform cladding - maybe stone or concrete ground floor and everything above in cedar shingles or all one way or the other. That way, it would be merely boring instead of ugly.

I rented half a duplex in a 55+ for awhile, and the landlord used the ground floor garages that were  supposed to be part of the units to store his trucks and snow removal equipment. Which made the driveway an equipment yard, one of his guys smashed my Mustang’s tail light with a snow plow.

Oh, I can think of some worse. One place I asked about in Austin advertised a street parking permit as if that was some kind of bonus. Sure, if you want your car to be completely destroyed. Yikes.
